EXIT WILL HELP

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has said that the exit of the club from the Europa league in the last 16 stage at the hands of Spanish club Athletic Bilbao is actually a boon for the club in terms of winning the title race ahead of Manchester City.

Manchester United were knocked out of the Europa league by Athletic Bilbao, who came into the match as the under dogs. United were actually looking forward to winning the Europa league this season, as they had been knocked out of the FA Cup, Carling cup and the champions league. However, the two defeats suffered in both the legs against the Spanish club meant that United exited the competition at a very early stage.

The Mexican has also said that he is looking at the opportunity to play a big role in the remaining matches for Manchester United. He could help United win their record 20th Premier league title this season if they see off the challenge from arch rivals Manchester City.

Due to the early exit from the Europa league, Hernandez believes that the club have a real chance of winning the title. Hernandez has managed to score an impressive 12 goals in just 19 appearances for United. Despite not being able to get on the pitch in the same frequency as last season, Hernandez is more than ready to help United as a substitute.

"It's a part of the season that all the players want to be involved in. It's a long season so these final few games are more emotional for everyone, but we have a big chance to win the Premier League again. We're in a great position because it depends on us - if we win all our games, we'll win the league," said Hernandez.
