HERNANDEZ HAPPY
Javier Hernandez has said that he is happy with his performance in this season so far, but, he still needs to make some improvements in his game.
Hernandez was not included in the staring XI in United’s previous Premier League match against Liverpool. This was a surprising decision by Sir Alex Ferguson as Hernandez has performed brilliantly in the Premier League matches that he has played in the ongoing season. He has scored 8 Premier League goals in this season. Robin Van Persie is the only United player who has scored more goals than him in the ongoing Premier League.
Hernandez is expected to be back in the starting XI for the FA Cup match against West Ham United which is going to be played at Old Trafford on 16th of January.
When asked about his performance in the ongoing season, Hernandez said, “This season has been pretty decent for me so far. I have been in good form and have played well in most of the matches. But, I think I still need to work on my game so that I can contribute a bit more for the team.”
When asked about him being left out of the starting line up in the match against Liverpool, Hernandez said, “Obviously, I felt a little bad. That was a big match and I wanted to be a part of that. But, that’s fair enough. There are quite a few quality strikers in our squad and everyone can’t be given playing opportunity in every match. So, the manager is trying to rotate the strikers.”
When asked about the secret of United’s success, Hernandez said, “The secret of our success is hard work and wonderful environment in the camp. The players of Manchester United enjoy each other’s success and that’s a very important thing in a team sport.”
